Donation Refund Policy

Food Angels America is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization located in the State of Florida.

We are committed to responsible stewardship of the contributions entrusted to us. Donations made through our website are processed securely through Givebutter, our online fundraising platform.

1. General Policy

All donations to Food Angels America are voluntary and generally non-refundable.

Because donations are processed immediately and directed toward advancing our charitable mission, refund requests are considered on a case-by-case basis under the limited circumstances described below.

2. Eligible Refund Situations

Refunds may be considered if:

  • A donation was made in error
     

  • An incorrect donation amount was entered
     

  • A duplicate donation occurred
     

  • There was unauthorized use of a payment method
     

Refund requests must be submitted within 7 days of the original transaction date.

Requests submitted after 7 days may not be eligible for review.

  • Donation date
     

  • Donation amount
     

  • Transaction confirmation number (if available)
     

  • Reason for the request
     

Food Angels America may request additional information to verify the transaction.

4. Processing of Approved Refunds

If a refund request is approved:

  • The refund will be issued to the original payment method
     

  • Processing times may vary based on Givebutter and its payment processing partners
     

  • Processing fees may not be recoverable in certain circumstances
     

Food Angels America reserves the right to decline refund requests that do not meet the criteria outlined in this policy.

5. Recurring Donations

Donors enrolled in recurring giving programs may cancel future donations at any time by:

Refund requests for recurring donations already processed will follow the same review process outlined above.

6. Tax Receipts

Refunded donations will not qualify for a charitable tax deduction. Any previously issued tax acknowledgment will be considered void upon refund.
